Do you know everything about yourself? Are you afraid of discovering new things about yourself? Is there something that you have never known?
Are you an open-minded person? Are you open to changes and surprises in your life? Are you flexible or everything should be planned type of person?
Today, there are many questions but I will not write about all.
Before we decide if we know everything about ourselves, we will talk about what makes us ‘us’.

When we are babies we discover our body first and then slowly become aware of the environment. The environment is mostly limited by what our parents show. Later, it expands. Toys, movies, other kids and babies, other adults, and new places… After some age, we are going to school. This time, our teacher draws a border for our world. On one hand, we discover a new world, on the other hand, we are stopped by the teacher’s authority.
In time we learn also abstract things. Emotions, feelings, thoughts… What we read, experience, see, hear and absorb shapes our personality and character (Aka Our Identity). Briefly, the environment is an important essence of our identity and being.
back to the question, I think, knowing ourselves %100 is not possible because we develop different perspectives and reactions under different circumstances.
Is this new perspective bad or good? Should we face ourselves or just ignore it?
Well, in my opinion, facing yourself is important. It can be painful sometimes or upsetting. Especially, if you have a psychological status like PTSD, OCD, anxiety, or low self-esteem; it is pretty normal to avoid facing it. However, the more you avoid, the more deep problem you have and the more difficult to overcome. Facing your problems makes you stronger and eliminates the possibility that some bad perspective/reaction comes because in this case, you will know your borders and capability very well.
Important Note: if it is hard and painful to face, consult some experts.
The second question is about change. How open are you to unpredictable events?
Of course, you don’t have to be open to a change. Perhaps, your character is more stable and organized. In this case, surprises will not satisfy you. If it makes stresses you and causes anxiety; it is a huge problem!

You have to know that nothing in life will be as you wish. There are only a few things in life that are under your control. The rest depends on other factors and impacts, even sometimes depending on luck. The best way to fight it is to have a plan B or C or D …. even plan Z, gamma, alpha…
You should also know that Plan A works only if you are very lucky. The people, you think that they do everything they want are going through their backup plans. The only difference they have is to adapt to new things easily and not get depressed with failure.
My idea is that, if I can manage %20 of my plans, it is a real success.
